GETTING TO KNOW THE TRAINING ARTIST
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as Tiago de Brito. I am the instructor who will guide you through the world of tattooing. With over 13 years dedicated to this art, I am passionate about realistic tattooing, specializing in Black & Grey and color realism styles. I hold a degree in Fine Arts and believe that tattooing is an incredibly powerful form of artistic expression.
My journey in the world of tattooing has allowed me to refine my skills to a mastery level. Transforming skin into living canvases is my mission, and realism is the tool that enables me to convey deep emotions through my creations. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of tattooing stories and feelings onto my clients' skin, and it is with this passion that I will guide you in this course.
Beyond being a tattoo artist, I have found an equally great fascination in sharing my knowledge with those who share my interest. Tattoo artistry is not just about technique; it's also about understanding composition, design, and the emotional connection with creations. I am excited to guide you in this discovery.

Tattoo Training Course - 16-Hour Program
Day 1: Tattoo Introduction and Safety (2 hours)
- Course and participant introduction
- Tattoo history: evolution and cultural meanings
- Tattoo legislation and regulations in Portugal
- Hygiene and safety: essential procedures
- Use of gloves, masks, and other PPE
- Workspace preparation and cleanliness
Day 1: Foundations and Tools (2 hours)
- Types of machines and needles: features and uses
- Pigments and inks: composition and appropriate selection
- Tattoo machine setup and breakdown
- Basic machine adjustments and needle configuration
Day 1: Tattoo Techniques (4 hours)
- Outlining techniques: types of lines and pressure
- Shading techniques: light and shadow effects
- Color application: blending and uniform application
- Practice on artificial models: lines, shading, and colors
Day 2: Design and Composition (6 hours)
- Design principles applied to tattooing
- Choosing references and adapting to the body
- Element composition in a tattoo
- Practice: creating a tattoo project with a focus on design
Final Remarks and Conclusion (2 hours)
